Day 43 More Parents

Sneaking up to blog, having parents here seems to have decreased my available time. They're helpful, but seem to want to spend more time "visiting" than I'd anticipated.

I missed breakfast twice since they got here (uh, I was supposed to have MORE time for breakfast) and that throws my carefully balanced hunger off. Not that I'm eating off program to make up for it, but that I'm STARVINGDEATHSTARVING later in the evening.

See also the question, "How do I have even less time to exercise than before?"

Oh difference between public (helenjane.com life) and private (here) personas.

That said, it's awesome to watch them interact with their grandchildren.
Remember that, HJ. This is good practice for putting routines into stressful situations -- if I can maintain exercise and diet NOW (with all the ALL I have going on) I can maintain it through anything.

Almost half-way there.
I've lost 18 pounds.
Amazing.

  1. Heh heh, I remember thinking when you wrote your parents were coming, "she thinks she'll have MORE time?" Keep at it, those first 18 pounds are freebies, the next 18 you'll sweat for!

  2. 18 pounds? That's fantastic! And we're only halfway through. You should give yourself an enormous pat on the back. Interested to see what the second half holds for you.

  4. That is absolutely amazing!!! Congrats on the huge weight loss (and you're only 1/2 way there!).

After reading your earlier post I started wondering about how this process would be different (better? worse?) if I had my mom "watching." It would be extremely challenging, I think. Great work, Helen, on dealing with it all!

I hate skipping breakfast. It makes me feel like I've been robbed!
